MILTON - Willie Banks Sr. of Milton died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, in his home. He was 86.
He was born Sept. 29, 1920, son of the late Martha Norman.
Mr. Banks retired from Mountaire Poultry Factory, Selbyville.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christil (Collins) Banks; a son, Paul Banks; and a daughter, Francis Hall.
He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Emma and Anthony Savage and Lucille Banks, all of Milton, Estelle and Gilbert Mackey of Millsboro and Christil and Robert Mitchell of North Carolina; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Willie Banks of California, Reles Banks of Milton, Henry and Jean Harmon of Dover, Edward Collins of Georgetown and Melvin and Charlotte Collins of Millsboro; a devoted companion, Emma Hall of Milton; 41 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Dorothy Bryant of Seaford and Georgiana Savage of Norfolk, Va.; and two nephews, Willie Savage of Hurlock, Md., and Fred Savage of Crisfield, Md.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Millsboro, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Friends may also call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Zoar Golden Acres Cemetery, Selbyville.
