William Reed Hudson, 84

GEORGETOWN - William Reed Hudson of Georgetown died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, in Bay Health Center, Milford. He was 84.

Mr. Hudson was born May 4, 1921, in Georgetown, son of the late Jehu F. and Bessie (Reed) Hudson.

He was a graduate of Cranbrook School, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Before retiring in 1986, he worked as a manager for the Sussex County Department of Labor for 33 years.

He was devoted to his loving family.

Mr. Hudson was a life member of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Co. and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Georgetown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marguerite E. Hudson; two sons and two daughters-in-law, William Reed II and Bonita S. Hudson of Millsboro; Robin Reed and Linda F. Hudson of Milford; and a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, James Jehu and Darby H. Hudson of Millsboro.

Celebration of life services were held in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Georgetown.

Burial was in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Georgetown Public Library Building Fund, 10 W. Pine St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
