DOVER - William "Rodney" McClain, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Kent General Hospital/Bayhealth in Dover. Born on March 9, 1932 at home in Townsend, he was the son of the late William Leslie and Clara Jane (Foraker) McClain. Rodney was retired from Dover Air Force Base where he worked in the supply warehouse. He loved hunting and fishing and was especially fond of his black cat, Inky. Rodney leaves many wonderful memories to his loving wife of 52 years, Louise Ivory McClain of Dover; three children, William R. McClain, Jr., of Bull Head City, Az., Robin McClain Mills of Dover and Kelly McClain Kaiser and her husband, Rusty of Hartly; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held noon on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown, where friends may visit with his family from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will follow in Townsend Cemetery.
