William Lee Zollars, 62

FELTON - William Lee Zollars of Felton died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at home, after a long illness. He was 62.

Mr. Zollars was born in Baltimore, son of the late Harold and Nellie (Engle) Zollars.

He was a self-employed painting contractor.

Mr. Zollars was an avid NASCAR fan, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver.

He enjoyed following the Duke Blue Devils college basketball team, as well as being a devout Baltimore sports fan, following both the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.

Mr. Zollars loved to refinish furniture and in his spare time, and play horseshoes and volleyball with his family.

His main love and commitment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a committed family man and even raised Linda's brothers and some of their nieces and nephews, treating them all as though they were his children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth W. Sullivan, in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda R. Zollars; a daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Lynn and Jonathan Cope of Milford; a grandson, Caden Lee Cope; a brother and sister-in-law, David Lee and Linda Zollars of Baltimore; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce St., Harrington, where friends may call after 2 p.m.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Please do not send flowers. The family would prefer that memorial contributions go to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
