William H. Vaughn

William H. Vaughn, 74 DOVER - William H. Vaughn, 74, of Dover, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Kent General/Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover. Mr. Vaughn was born in Cheswold on Dec. 5, 1935, the son of the late C. Townsend and Ada Van Pelt Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn served in the U.S. Marine Corp and graduated from the University of Delaware. He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School in 1964. He practiced law in Dover and later became CEO of United Restaurant Group. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn was predeceased by a sister, Frances Hahn; and brothers, C. Richard Vaughn, and James T. Vaughn. He is survived by his wife, Sherie Simon Vaughn of Dover; his daughter and her husband, Andrea and Robert Snyder of Hawaii; his son, Richard Gamberg of Hawaii; his daughter and her husband, Betsy and Carl Giusto of Alvin, Texas; his daughter and her husband, Gaby and Daniel Brengle of Dover; a sister and her husband, Mary and Donald Longenecker of Wilmington; a brother and his wife, Robert and Virginia Vaughn of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Brian, Jill, and Lisa Snyder, Louis and C. Morris Giusto, David and Madison Brengle. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, at Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover. Friends may greet the family at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contribution in his memory to the S.P.C.A.
