WASHINGTON - William David Stewart, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Catholic Church, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in George Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. He was 49.
David, as he was known to his friends, was born March 12, 1959, in Washington.
For the last 15 years, he was a manager for Domino's Pizza, in St. Louis, Mo., and Washington, D.C., until his illness forced him to retire in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Stewart.
David leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of eight years, Alisa (Hancock) Stewart; his mother, Millie Stewart; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary K. Lindhorst and Fred W. Lindhorst, both of Delaware; his two children, Melissa and Sabrina; his two stepchildren, Victoria and Emily; brothers-in-law, Michael and Matthew Hancock and his wife Alicia; sister-in-law, Marybeth Perkins and her husband Bill; a brother, Ian; two sisters, Kelley and Tammi; one granddaughter, Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
David will be missed by his extended family of coworkers at Domino's Pizza and many other friends.
A viewing will be 1 p.m. Thursday with services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home of Robert Pumphreys, 7557 Wisconsin Ave. Bethesda, Md.
Burial will be private.
