OCEAN VIEW - William A. "Andy" Frease III of Ocean View died suddenly Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, in his home. He was 57.
Mr. Frease was born Feb. 21, 1949, in Canton, Ohio.
He was a graduate of Glenwood High School and of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
He enjoyed a successful 32-year career in advertising, including several years as a creative writer for Disney World. His talents earned him many prestigious awards and his work appeared in major national publications. In his semi-retirement, he enjoyed part-time work at Le Gourmet Chef in Lancaster, Pa., and the Bethany Beach Wawa after moving to Ocean View in May of this past year. Most recently, he was employed part-time at Rivera Advertising in Lancaster.
Mr. Frease loved the ocean, body-surfing and walking the beach. He was an avid reader and had a soft spot for the dogs and cats in his life. He also was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns.
He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Frease Jr., who had lived in Canton.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Denny of Ocean View; a son, Daniel Frease of Middletown, Ohio; a brother and a sister-in-law, David and Sally Frease of Leesburg, Va.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Amy Frease and Mary and Greg Iler of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and a host of cousins and good friends.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary of Sussex County, PO Box 430, Nassau, DE 19969.
