SMYRNA - Wendy Ann Masten passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. Wendy was born July 7, 1983 in Milford, Del. to Roy Lankford and Sandra Lankford. She worked as a receptionist for the last 10 years for Delaware Auto Service. Wendy enjoyed camping with her husband and son, fishing, hunting, boating and being at the beach. Wendy is survived by her father, Roy Lankford and his companion Sandra Melvin; mother, Sandra Lankford and her companion, Tom Phillips all of Lincoln; her husband of five years, William V. Masten, Jr. of Smyrna; and their son, William V. Masten, III at home; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Lankford; maternal grandmother, Barbara Failing; mother and father-in-law, William V. Masten, Sr. and Mary Ellen Masten of Clayton; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be sent to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904, until a trust fund can be established for William Masten, III's education or to William V. Masten, Jr. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
