Wallace C. Green

DOVER - Wallace C. Green, 80, of Dover, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at the Christiana Hospital. Mr. Green was the son of the late Carl and Hilda (Self) Green. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a flight test mechanic at Boeing Vertol in Ridley Park, Pa., retiring in 1994. Wallace was a licensed pilot and in his earlier years he enjoyed flying. He also enjoyed doing upholstery work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Green; and a sister-in-law, Mavis Green. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rhea Lee Clendaniel Green; a daughter, Becky Pinkerton and her husband Ken of Elsmere; a son, Jeffrey Dale Green, of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, William Green and his wife Dot of Hayden, Ala., and James Leo Green and his wife Gloria of Ashland, Ala.; one sister, Linda Sue Lesley and her husband John of Pinson, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
