Vonzalee Mason Easley, of Crisfield, Maryland passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Maryland surrounded by her loving family.
Vonzalee was born in Crisfield on May 14, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Vaughn T. Mason and Agnes Somers Mason Crockett.
She graduated from Crisfield High School in 1954. She worked at the former W.T. Grants, McCready Hospital, and as a home caregiver.
Vonzalee met the love of her life, her husband of almost 66 years, Bobby Easley while he was in the US Navy and stationed in Chincoteague, Virginia. She was a proud Navy wife and devoted homemaker. Together they traveled the world during his time in the military. She loved ceramics, gardening, especially growing vegetables and flowers. She also enjoyed quiet time reading. Vonzalee treasured time spent with “the girls” and their families during the holidays, special celebrations, weekends, anytime they were together was a cherished memory. She adored her dog “Freckles” and her cockatiel “Jake.”
Surviving Vonzalee is her husband Bobby Easley; and her nieces and nephews, Toni (Mike), Theresa (Marty), Tanya (Margaret), Vonda; and several great-nieces and greatnephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Vaughn T. Mason, Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Chiaravalle and by many family members and friends. Vonzalee was loved without end, and she will be missed greatly.
A memorial service was held Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 3 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. Rev. Eddie Daniels officiated. Urn interment will be at a later date in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
