Virginia M. (Emory) Ingram SEAFORD - Virginia M. (Emory) Ingram, of Seaford, formerly of Lincoln and Bridgeville, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Virginia was born in Milford, daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Dickerson) Emory. She was a lifelong caregiver. She started Jewels Nursing Home and in the 1970's, owned and operated Ingram's Rest Home at Argos Corner. In addition to the rest home, she also provided in-home care. She continued providing care to others throughout her life and even during her time at LifeCare at Lofland Park. Many years ago, she had worked in the button cutting industry, LD Caulk and Sears. Virginia enjoyed music, dancing and sewing. In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Winston "Wood" Ingram, in 1989; two brothers, Earl and Charles Emory; and two sisters, Elizabeth Wilson and Patsy Sharp. She is survived by three children, Shirley A. Clark, Barry W. and Gary W. Ingram; a brother, Gilbert Emory; seven grandchildren, Brianne and Brice Ingram, Lindsey Stubbs, Lacey Ingram, Wade, Chad and Annette Clark; and 4 great grandchildren: Adan and Ethan Stubbs, Jeffrey and Kelsey Mitchell. A visitation was held, Thursday, May 20, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. A graveside service immediately followed at in Slaughter Neck U.M. Cemetery, at Argos Corner, Milford, DE.
