
BETTERTON, Md. - Virginia Lee Priddy, affectionately called "Ginny" died Monday, May 7, 2018, at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Chestertown, Md.
Ginny was born in Wilmington, on Sept. 14, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Maryann Nicholson of Chestertown.
Ginny grew up in Betterton, Md., attended Betterton Elementary school, and graduated from Chestertown High School, Class of 1960. She married Thomas Priddy of Betterton, Md. on June 6, 1961. After graduation, Ginny attended The Vogue Beauty Academy in Baltimore City, Md., where she received her License in cosmetology. She worked and managed salons in Chestertown, Md., as well as being the owner and operator of her own salon in Centreville, Md., for many years. Ginny truly loved her occupation.
Ginny was "one of a kind". She loved dancing, music, laughing, partying, gardening, reading, watching movies, making crafts, and time spent with her family and friends. She truly Loved Life! Anyone who knew her always had a kind word to say about her.
Ginny was preceded in death by her mother in 2005, father in 2012, and daughter, Robin Priddy Libourel in 2007.
In addition to her husband, Tom; Ginny is survived by her daughter, Amy R. Priddy and her fiancé, Marcellus L. Black, Jr., of Betteron, Md.; sister, Joyce Nicholson of Worton, Md.; brother, Lewis E. Nicholson and fiancé Lynn Mclain of Chestertown, Md.; niece, Jennifer Holden and her husband Marty of Chestertown, Md.; nephew, Christopher Nicholson and his wife Kim of Worton Md.; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Grace and Bryan Libourel of Georgia and William, Jr., and Arianna Gowran of Betterton, Md.
Interment will be Private.
