Vinnie L. Lankford, 78

GREENWOOD - Vinnie L. Lankford of Greenwood died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, in her home. She was 78.

Mrs. Lankford was born May 14, 1928, in Damascus, Md., daughter of the late C. Filmore and Jemima (Watkins) Lewis.

She was a homemaker, raising four children.

Mrs. Lankford was a supporter of the Greenwood United Methodist Church. She was a woman of much faith who loved to read her Bible.

She enjoyed working in her yard growing flowers, and collecting anything that looked like a frog.

Mrs. Lankford loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed by them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Lankford; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by four children, Mark H. Lankford of Westminster, Md., Sheree Cropper of Frankford, Cheryl Skibicki of Pasadena, Md., and Kellee Allen of Silver Spring, Md.; nine grandchildren, Vincent Cropper, Candace Cropper, Jarren Cropper, Austin Lankford, Kristin Lankford, Heidi Tenebaum, Phillip Skibicki, Hannah Skibicki and Casee Allen; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley Tenebaum, William Tenebaum, Nicholas Tenebaum and Meghan Tenebaum.

Services and burial will be private.

Arrangements by Fleischauer Funeral Home, Greenwood.
