Vincent Eugene Harris, 42
CHESTERTOWN, MD - Vincent Eugene Harris, departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2009, in Bay Health Hospital in Dover. He was 42. He was born on Sept. 15, 1966, and was the son of Barbara Ann and Johnnie Harris Jr. Vincent attended school in Queen Anne's County, graduating from Queen Anne's County High School in 1985. He was employed by the Queen Anne's County Sanitary District for five years and with Pizza Hut for 12 years. Vincent loved detailing cars, attending car and bike shows, and building model cars. His passion was keeping his vehicles spotless. He was the proud winner of several trophies from car shows. He was also a member of the Thunder Guard M.C. Club (Chestertown Chapter). He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Vincent was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Harvey Lewis and Johnnie Harris Sr.; grandmother, Corine Harris; godmother, Helen Shorter; aunt, Pearl Isaacs; uncles, Marvin Lewis, George Hickman, James Hickman and William Harris; and nephews, Thurston Harris Jr. and Vaughn Harris. Vincent leaves to cherish precious memories, his devoted mother and father, Barbara Ann and Johnnie Harris Jr. of Pondtown, Md.; five sons, Kejuan (Latesha) Newman of Lacy, Wash., Vincent Harris of Grasonville, Md., Vincent Harris Jr. of Centreville, Md., Venell Harris of Grasonville, Md., and Darius Harris of Rock Hall, Md.; two daughters, Venecia Harris and Darteka Dorsey of Centreville, Md.; stepchildren, Donnavon and Breann Harris of Pondtown, Md.; four brothers, Gary Harris of Pondtown, Md., Johnnie Harris of Dover, Thurston (June) Harris of Barclay, Md., and Keith Harris of Granby, Mass.; one sister, Delores (Brady) Hook of Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren, Anastasia, Dwayne, Khalil, Mehki, Se'maj and Trinity; four aunts, Gwendolyn Lewis, Jacqueline (Darnell) Henry, Odenner Harris and Judy Lewis; great aunt, Emma Elliott; two uncles, Nelson (Barbara) Lewis, and Dwayne Lewis; grandmother, Edna Lewis of Pondtown, Md.; an uncle of the heart, Charlie Coleman of Columbia, S.C.; an aunt of the heart, Patricia Warner of Pondtown, Md.; special friends, Vernon Demby, Darryl Warner, William Benson Jr., and Nechole Seymore; godfather, Melvin Shorter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends living in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and California. Viewing will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at Mt. Pleasant Church in Pondtown, Md. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Mt.
