Victor Ayala, 73

TOWNSEND - Victor Ayala of Townsend passed away Monday, April 28, 2008. He was 73.

Mr. Ayala was born in Puerto Rico on Dec. 23, 1934, son of the late Juan and Francisca (Diaz) Ayala.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he bravely and honorably served his country during the Korean War.

A hard and tireless worker, Victor was endlessly devoted to his family.

Mr. Ayala was an immensely proud and loving husband and father, possessing a deep adoration for his loved ones.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Patria (Santiago) Ayala; children, Victor (Iris), Reinaldo (Michelle), Dalia Hoffman, Edward (Leanne) and Anthony "Randy" and his son Brenden; two sisters; and 21 grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday in Charles P. Arcaro Funeral Home, 2309 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 4th and Jackson streets, Wilmington. No visitation will be held on Monday morning prior to mass.

Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul RC Church, 1010 W. 4th St., Wilmington, DE 19805.
