HARRINGTON — The City of Harrington has announced the cancellation of Harrington Heritage Day, except for indoor events, due to forecasts of severe storms and heavy rain.
The 48th annual Heritage Day was scheduled for Saturday.
The city said the library still has indoor activities planned for children.
The Harrington Historical Society will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. T-shirts, celebrating America's 250th, will be on sale.
And, Trinity United Methodist Church will be open for chicken salad sales.
With so many other events in our area over the next several weeks, a rain date is not possible, organizers said.
