Melvin Sr., 33
FELTON - Travis J. "Trav" Melvin Sr. passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021. Trav was born in Milford, Del. to the late, Donald R. Melvin and Gayle Melvin.
Trav attended Caesar Rodney and the Polytech High School. He was very proud of the fact that he completed the Culinary Arts Food Service Training Program and Internship and received his Servsafe certificate. He enjoyed cooking and was quite good at it. Trav worked with his late father in the family's tire business in Sandtown for many years.
Trav was a diehard Steelers fan. Although he was reserved and a private person, he did enjoy spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. Trav was known for his lively personality, and he loved to play jokes and pranks on people. His sense of humor and pranking was definitely passed along to his son Travis Jr. Trav will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his mother, Gayle Melvin; Trav is survived by his son, Travis Melvin Jr. and Travis's mother, Jessica Delmedico; brother, Scott Melvin; sister, Heather (Matt) Jackson; and niece, Myra Jackson.
Services for Trav will be Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 1 p.m., with a visitation for family and friends starting at 12 noon. Interment will take place at the Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, please visit us at www.melvinfuneralhome.com to express or send condolences.
