Tilghman "Tim" Hardcastle Williams Jr., 84
GOLDSBORO, Md. - Tilghman "Tim" Hardcastle Williams Jr. of Goldsboro died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of Easton. He was 84.
Mr. Williams was born April 25, 1922, in Goldsboro, son of the late Tilghman H. Sr. and Marjorie (Griffin) Williams.
He was a graduate of Greensboro High School. He attended Goldie School of Business, Wilmington, Del., and the University of Maryland.
Mr. Williams was the post master for Goldsboro, retiring in 1987.
He loved fishing in the Delaware Bay.
Mr. Williams was the last remaining charter member of the Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Jean (Lane) Williams; two sons, Michael Sterling Williams of Middletown, Pa., and Barry "Zeke" Williams of Greensboro; a daughter, Barbara Anne Callahan of Denton; five grandchildren, Adam Callahan, Ryan Callahan, Sherri Scott, Jacqueline Williams and Eric Sheffer; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call half an hour earlier.
