DOVER - Thomas Q. Brooks Sr., 91, of Dover, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at his home with family. He was born on June 18, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Herbert and Katherine Querns Brooks. He was a member of the Rotary Club for over 50 years, and The Presbyterian Church of Dover. Mr. Brooks was a Army veteran of WW II, he is retired from Sherwin Williams Paint Co. and A. H. Angersteins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Jane Brooks in 2009. He is survived by son and his wife, Thomas Q. and Bonnie Brooks Jr. of Lewes; son and his wife, Robert D. and Annie Brooks of Kent, Wash.; daughter and her husband, Wendy and Mike Lynch of Dover; and four grandchildren, Jeremy Brooks, Joshua Brooks, Michelle Christiensen, and Jennifer Christensen. Remembrance Services will be noon, Friday, July 15, 2011, at Presbyterian Church of Dover in Dover, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be at the Presbyterian Church Yard, Dover.
