Thomas E. Doby, 54

DOVER - Thomas E. Doby, of Dover, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, in Christiana Care-Christiana Medical Center, Newark. He was 54.

He was born April 27, 1954, in Baltimore, to the late Casper and Edna (Wahl) Hendricks.

Thomas moved to the Dover area from Baltimore when he was 18 years old.

He was a welder at Metal Masters for 30 years.

Thomas was a Baltimore sports fan of the Ravens and Orioles, and was also a NASCAR fan.

He enjoyed cooking.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cheryl Doby of Dover; daughter, Patricia Lynn Lake of Dover; daughter, Brittany Doby of Dover; daughter, Peggy Lupton of Maryland; brother, Daniel Hendricks of Hagerstown, Md.; brother, Casper Hendricks of Baltimore; sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Albert Spencer of Harrington; sister and her husband, Patricia and William Schoff of Baltimore; sister and her husband, Angel and Billy Ricketts of Chestertown, Md.; and a grandson, Trent Rhinehardt of Dover.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Doby Memorial Fund care of Commerce Bank of Dover.
