Sydney L. Bondurant, 48

LAUREL - Sydney L. Bondurant of Laurel died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 48.

Mr. Bondurant was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a social worker for the State of Delaware.

Mr. Bondurant was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Seaford, and was active in the Boy Scouts Troop 584.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marianna Bondurant; two sons, Jarred Bondurant and Logan Bondurant, both of Laurel; two daughters, Emily Principe of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Sofia Bondurant of Laurel; his mother, "Polly" Bondurant; two brothers, Hugh Bondurant and Kenneth Bondurant, both of Pulaski, Tenn.; and a sister Alys Bondurant of Pulaski.

Services will be 6 p.m. today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, North Nylon Boulevard and Fleetwood Drive, Seaford, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Elkton, Tenn.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Boy Scouts Troop 584, c/o Marlene McCabe, 506 N. Phillips St., Seaford, DE 19973.
