Susan T. Heflebower

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Susan T. Heflebower died Sunday, Jul. 9, 2017, at Berkeley Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born Jan. 22, 1949 in Milford. She was the daughter of the late James E. Taylor and Lela Parker Taylor.
Mrs. Heflebower retired after 38 years as a Teacher with the Jefferson County Board of Education at Wright Denny Elementary School, Page Jackson Elementary School, Blue Ridge Elementary School and C.W. Shipley Elementary School.
She was of the Methodist Faith.
She graduated from Harrington High School, class of 1967 and a graduate of Shepherd College, class of 1971 and then post graduate classes.
She was a member of the West Virginia Retired Teachers Association, Charles Town Junior Women's Club, Charles Town Kiwanis Club, Beeline Chapter DAR, She was a 4-H Leader with Helping Hand 4-H Club, volunteer Jefferson County Community Ministries, volunteer at the Charles Town Middle School and an active member of the JCEA.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James G. "Jim" Heflebower, at home; son, Gregory J. Heflebower and wife, Amy, of Rippon; grandsons, Howard G. Heflebower, III, Clayton E. Heflebower and William G. Heflebower; sister, Nancy Green and husband Joe; brother, Robert Taylor and wife Betty, all of Harrington and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jul. 13, 2017, at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town with Pastor Van Marsceau officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
