DOVER - Stephen Patrick Bodolus, of Dover, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, in Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 51.

Mr. Bodolus was born Jan. 30, 1956, in England. He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1974, and attended the Maryland Institute of Art, the University of Delaware and Delaware Technical & Community College, Terry Campus.

In his youth, he loved sports, football and track and field, which he set records in at Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, Pa.

Mr. Bodolus was employed by the Delaware Department of Transportation, Canal District, as an engineering technician, and was looking forward to a 25-year retirement.

He appreciated all art forms, especially photography, which enabled him to capture the moment and save it forever. He enjoyed taking photos of Delaware waterways and boats, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland, especially St. Michaels. Longwood Gardens was one of his favorites for close-ups of beautiful gardens. He was very outgoing, and his other interests were many, including American Indian folklore and attending powwows and festivals. He also customized vans, beginning in the early 1970s with the Delaware Bay Van Club. He would use the vans to travel and camp.

Mr. Bodolus will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen E. Bodolus; his grandparents, Nina and Walter Watson and Elizabeth and Stephen Bodolus; his uncles, James Bodolus, Mike Jackley, Michael Maylath and William Scoles; and an aunt, Carole Scoles.
