Carter, 33 GEORGETOWN - Shawn Michael Carter passed away Tuesday September 16, 2014 at home. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed stock car racing and playing baseball. He especially liked being coached by Norman Spicer. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, the New England Patriots, and the Florida State Seminoles. Shawn liked to collect monster trucks and action figures. Shawn also liked to write fiction, play video games and was a computer enthusiast. Shawn was always trying to help people with their problems and was currently enrolled in school to become a counselor. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Vickers Jr. in 1997; and his uncles Billy Littleton and Bob Hitchens. He is survived by his fiancé Katherine Moffitt; parents Jay and Ann (Littleleton) Carter; brothers J. Devin and Lisa Carter, David and Tina Carter; four nieces Stephanie, Alyssa, Brittany and Haley; Charlene and Greg Bunting and family, Nancy Watson and family, Charles Littleton and family, Darrel Littleton and family, Kenny Littleton and family, Sylvia and Jim Cash and family, Patty and John Short and family, Norma and Larry Lynch and family; Billy Littleton's family and Bob Hitchen's family; and his pets Tanner, Edgar, Emily, Khaleesi, and Lucky. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday Sept. 20, 2014 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947 where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
