SALISBURY, Md. - Sarah Peyton Howeth of Salisbury died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Salisbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Salisbury. She was 80.
Mrs. Howeth was born in Crisfield, daughter of the late Wilmer and Elsie Marie Ennis Hickman.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose Lodge 1208 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Howeth Sr.; a brother; and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Elsie Jane Howeth of Salisbury and Billie Rae and Frank Wheatley of Seaford, Del.; a son, William E. "Buddy" Howeth Jr. of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Roseann Honman of Crisfield and Patsy Mears of Pocomoke City; a brother, Philip Wilkins of Maine; grandchildren and their spouses, Frank C. Jr. and Teresa Wheatley of Salisbury, and Rick Wheatley of Seaford; great-grandchildren, Taylor Wheatley and Gage Wheatley, both of Seaford.
A graveside service was Thursday in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Salisbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 200 Civic Ave., Salisbury, MD 21804.
