MAGNOLIA - Sandra Lee Satchell of Magnolia died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover, after a long illness. She was 49.
Mrs. Satchell was born April 18, 1958, in Salisbury, Md., daughter of Johnny George and Ruth (Smith) Turner.
She loved to care for people and worked as a caregiver in private homes.
Mrs. Satchell loved her children, family and life itself.
She also enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Satchell was a member of Capital Baptist Church, Dover.
A brother, Jerome Smith, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Satchell is survived by her father and his wife, Johnny and Annie George of Millsboro,; her mother and her husband, Ruth and Robert Turner of Seaford; three children, Deron J. Satchell of Jacksonville, Fla., Martez Satchell of Magnolia, and Antoinette Ehiogu of New Castle; five grandchildren, Kendraya, Dominic, Cheyenne, Deron Jr., and Tyrell; six sisters, Delores Fosque of Baltimore, Cherlene Lans of Millsboro, Shelia George of Frankford, Patsy Dredden of Griffin, Ga., Janet Hopkins of Seaford, and Chezelle George of Frederick, Md.; two brothers, Daniel George of Salisbury, and Johnny W. Hovington of Linwood, N.J.; two stepbrothers, Anthony Davis of Fredericksburg, Va., and Gerald Davis of Huntsville, Ala.; and her husband, James Satchell of Millsboro.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. John"s 2nd Baptist Church, Millsboro, where family and friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be held in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fleischauer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 502, Greenwood, DE 19950, to defray costs of the funeral.
