MILLSBORO - Samuel C. "Sam" Messina Sr., passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Lisa C. Messina; son, Sammy Messina Jr.; mother, Corrine Messina; brother, John Messina; sisters, Lucille Cataleno and Angie Poiesz; two nieces, and two nephews. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 12 noon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Sam's name to: A Hero's Welcome, c/o Maria Highland, 3037 Burton Drive, Gilbertsville, PA 19525.
