SEAFORD - Ruth Ellen Shockley, of Seaford, passed away at her home on June 21, 2011. She was 92. Born in Federalsburg, Md., on Nov. 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Algie and Bertie Dukes Morgan. Growing up in Federalsburg she was a graduate of Federalsburg High School, Class of 1935. During her early life she was a licensed practical nurse and did private duty nursing. She then became a homemaker to her four daughters and one son. In her last 16 years, she made a home with her daughter, Mavia. She was a member of the First Church of God, Federalsburg and a member of the Federalsburg Historical Society. She is survived by four daughters, Sandra Duncan and her husband Earle of Darien, Ga., Mavia Todd of Seaford, Betsy Holland and her husband Larry of Hurlock, Md., Teresa Patchett and her husband Joseph of Seaford; and by one son, Wilson Shockley Jr. and his wife Molly of Bitburg, Germany. She was also survived by seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and by three special and caring aids, Karla Hood, Leona Solow, and Rhonda Dobson. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Handy; and three brothers, Emerson Morgan, O.J. Morgan, and Russell Morgan. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2011, at Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg, Md., with the Rev. Gary Kusack and Pastor Linda Eshelman officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the funeral service. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Federalsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Federalsburg Historical Society, P.O.
