DENTON, Md. - Russell Lee Hubbard, of Denton, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was 78.
Mr. Hubbard was born in Hobbs, near Denton, son of the late Sherman Russell Hubbard and Hester Ann (Sutherland) Hubbard.
He lived his entire life in the Denton area.
Mr. Hubbard grew up as a farmer on the farm.
He worked for Noble Ford, Easton, as an auto mechanic; Elliott Brothers Equipment Co. as a long haul trucker; and Ronnie Moore Trucking Co., hauling grain.
Mr. Hubbard was a member of the Teamsters Local 557 and a lifelong member of the Easton Moose Lodge 1520.
He loved country music, the Grand Ole Opry and being with his friends at McDonald's.
Mr. Hubbard was a very loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Geraldine Virginia Fleetwood; a son, James Russell Hubbard and his wife Linda Patrick Hubbard of Mineral, Va.; two daughters, Dawne Diane Roe of Hillsboro and Deborah Marie Bridges of Easton; six brothers, Paul Hubbard of Conway, S.C., Frederick Hubbard and William Hubbard, both of Denton, Raymond Hubbard of Dover, Del., Bruce Hubbard of Denton and John Hubbard of Crystal River, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Patrick James Hubbard, Amy Lynn Hubbard, Christine Henderson, Michael Bridges Jr. and Philip James Roe Jr.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one hour prior.
