Russell G. Witman

MILFORD - Russell G. Witman, III passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at Bayhealth @ Milford Memorial Hospital from "Failure to Maintain".
Russell was born in Ridley Park, Pa., the son of the late Russell G., Jr. and Florence (Wood) Witman.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He worked for Wilmington Sheet Metal as a tool and die maker.
Russell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milford. He was a former member of the Claymont Fire Company. He loved his 1932 Ford Coupe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Witman; second wife, Judy Witman; and a brother, George Witman.
He is survived by his four children, Russell Witman, III (Susan), Terri Jones (Howard), Beth Hackenberg (Denise) and Robyn Johnson (Jeff); sister, Fran Witman; grandchildren, Bill, Kyle, Garrett, Chloe, Jonah and Brady.
A visitation will be held Tuesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Milford, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
