FELTON - Rose L. Ramirez, 79, of Felton, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Bay Health Medical Center. She is daughter of the late Michael Hopfinger and Katherine Vetter Hopfinger. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Anton "Tony" Hopfinger; and two sisters, Mary Schwier and Betty Fifer. Mrs. Ramirez loved gardening and flowers. She was a home maker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family. Her life was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Jimmy Johnson fan. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rene Ramirez; three children, Randy Ramirez and his wife Dania, Tina Goree, and Theresa Gordon and her husband Scott; eight grandchildren; three siblings, Jack, Johnny and Francis "Hoppy" Hopfinger. Services and burial will be private. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Felton. Contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
