Rose E. Sharp

DOVER - Rose E. Sharp passed away Nov. 17, 2016 at her home. She was the daughter of the late John Phillips and Ada Watkins. Mrs. Sharp retired from Playtex after 30 years. Mrs. Sharp loved to be outdoors, fishing, and crabbing. She enjoyed watching baseball and painting. She was a sweet lady with an unforgettable laugh. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, John E. Phillips, Roy Phillips, Lester and Richard Phillips; sisters, Dorothy Minner, Hilda Wilson, Ellotta Ryan, Eleanor Vabakin and Betty Jane Davis; and her dearly loved dog, Rusty. Mrs. Sharp is survived by her sister, Shirley (Bill) Wooters; several nieces and nephews, Cindy Travers, Willie Davis, Jr., Jimmy Davis, John Phillips, Mark O'Day; caregivers til her end, Jenny Perry and Carol Ribolla. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington at 1 p.m. Mrs. Sharp would want everyone to come as they are in casual dress. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947. Arrangements are by the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home Inc, Harrington.
