WOODSIDE - Ronald Robert "Ronnie" Provost passed away peacefully on Feb 18, 2017, at Kent General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Lewiston, Maine to the late, Edward and Juliette Auger Provost.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Roy, on Jun. 25, 1955, in Lewiston, Maine.
Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, before retiring at Dover A.F.B. After military retirement, he worked for the State of Delaware. He enjoyed trips to Hawaii, country music, his family, playing his guitar, and playing pool.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Lorraine; and his oldest brother, Edward Provost.
He is survived by his four children, Susan and her husband Edward Trinidad, of St. Albans, Vermont, Sharon, of Abingdon, Maryland., Michael and his wife Mary, of Stafford, Virginia, and Robin, of Woodside; brother, Richard and his wife Sue Provost, of Poland, Maine; sister, Connie Jones, of Spring Hill, Florida.; and five grandchildren, Nikki, Stephen, Derick, Stephanie, and Jenna.
Interment and memorial service with military honors, will be performed on, Mar. 8, 2017, at the State Veterans' Cemetery in Bear, at 1p.m.
The family will gather this summer, in Oxford, Maine, for a celebration of his life.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given in Ronnie's name, to the Alzheimer's Association. Letters of condolence may be sent to www.traderfh.com
