MILLSBORO - Ronald G. Crockett, of Millsboro, formerly of the New Castle area, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 27, 2008. He was 64.
He was born in Ridley Park, Pa., son of the late John and Marie (McHenry) Crockett.
Mr. Crockett served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War
He worked with John J. Crockett & Sons Subcontracting company for many years and most recently he worked for the state of Delaware as a trade mechanic at the Stockley Center in Georgetown.
Mr. Crockett was a member of American Legion Post 28 of Oak Orchard.
He enjoyed fishing, boating and being with his friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Geraldine "Geri" Crockett; two sons, Scott Crockett (Lisa) of Mulbury, Mass., Ronald Crockett of New York; a daughter, Joyce Ely (Bryan) of Glen Mills, Pa.; a brother, John J. Crockett (Helen) of Key West, Fla.; brother -in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Julia Penna of Wilmington; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be noon Thursday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m.
Burial will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
