Ron Egger

CAMDEN - Ron Egger, of Camden, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Kent General Hospital, Dover with his wife at his side. He was 67. Ron was born on Nov. 28, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, son of the late Maurice and Clara (Engel) Egger. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. Ron was self-employed as a computer consultant for over 15 years. He loved to travel especially to Mexico. He enjoyed entertaining and cooking for his friends, trivia and building furniture. He also was an avid Cincinnati Bearcats fan. Ron is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Jeanne Egger; a son, Brian Egger of Chicago, Ill.; a stepson, Gabriel Percich of Hartly; three sisters, Jackie Egger of Chicago, Ill., Pam Jenkins of Loveland, Ohio and Debbie Johnson of Sharonville, Ohio; a brother, Michael Horner and his wife Mary Grace of Racine, Wis.; mother-in-law, Estelle Laroche of Allenstown, N.H.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Laroche of Allenstown, N.H.; his two faithful companions Charlee and Oliver; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Christiana Care, Bayhealth-Kent General and Pinnacle Rehab for the wonderful care they gave Ron during his illness. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
