CHESTER, Pa. - Roberta V. Thorpe, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on Friday March 7, 2014 while surrounded by her daughter, Verneane Thorpe and family. A 1961 graduate of Chichester High School and USAF Retiree. She was preceded in death by father, William R. Thorpe; two sisters, Karen, Helena; one brother-in-law, Carl Benson; one sister-in-law, Rotha. She is survived by two daughters, Verneane (caregiver) and Tamara; mother, Rachel Thorpe; eight brothers, Delbert (Phyllis), Keith, Vernell, Bruce, James (Karlieta), Darrell, Thomas (Phancia) Kenneth, Sr.; four sisters, Rev. Frances Benson, Cecelia White, Valera, Cheryl; one aunt, Thedress Thorpe; eight grandchildren, Randy, Jabree, Charnelle, Janaya, Robbie, Taylor, Jahad, Taj'hane; one great-grandchild, Kiyah. Visitors welcome at homes of daughter Verneane and Thorpe Family homestead, Twin Oaks, Pa.
