Roberta Porter Appenzeller

SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Roberta "Bertie" Appenzeller joined her loving husband Austin in heaven on July 27, 2018 at the age of 85.
She was born in Dover, and later moved to a farm in Sudlersville, Md. where she raised her family. Bertie was a homemaker, famous for her cooking, especially her delicious apple pies. She was a devoted farmer's wife to Austin C. Appenzeller, who preceded her in death. She was a loving mother of two, beloved grandmother to five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Michael D. Appenzeller and his wife Donna of Sudlersville, Md.; her daughter, Patricia Appenzeller Sherman and her husband James of Centreville, Md.; her grandchildren, Joshua Appenzeller and his wife Jessica, Jeremy Appenzeller and his wife Kara, Morgan Hannold and her husband Bill, Jamie Ensor and her husband Daniel, and Chelsea Sherman. She also had five great grandchildren whom she adored; Garrett, Grayson and Edie Appenzeller, and Avery and Maya Ensor.
There will be a graveside service at Barretts Chapel in Frederica on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 a.m.
