Roberta Ann Bowden

SEAFORD - Roberta Ann "Bobbie" Bowden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Bobbie was born Jan. 2, 1937 in Salisbury, Md. to the late Robert Brown and Vera Brown. She was the youngest of three children. She attended Bridgeville High School Class of 1955. One of her many jobs was working at the former Woolworth where she met her husband, and in her later years she was a merchandiser for American Greetings.
Roberta was a member of the Miriam Rebekah lodge for many years. She had a caring heart that touched many people. She will be dearly missed by many.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis, of 61 years; a sister, Dorothy Medico; a son, Raymond Bowden; and a daughter, Christina Whaley (Kenny). She had six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Brown; and her mother, Vera Brown; as well as a sister, Mary Ellen Porter.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Cranston Funeral Home, and burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford. Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12 to 1 p.m.
