Robert 'Bob' W. Ritter, 75
DOVER, Del. - Robert "Bob" W. Ritter passed away peacefully on November 21, 2021.
He was born on November 6, 1946, the middle son of the late Harold V. and Florence H. Ritter. He was raised in Guttenberg, New Jersey.
He graduated from St. John's University in Queens, New York and UNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with degrees in Pharmacy.
He's a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force with 20 years of service as a Pharmacist. Then, he continued his passion as a Pharmacist throughout Kent County, Delaware with Happy Harry's, Edgehill, Walgreens, and Hometown Drugs for many more years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia M. Ritter; three daughters, Colleen M. Cabaud (Daniel), Christine R. Hogsten (Lance), Karen M. Corbett; six grandchildren, Madison L. Hogsten, Jordyn P. Hogsten, Rylee M. Cabaud, Gavin R. Cabaud, Reese C. Corbett, Jackson R. Corbett; and two brothers, Richard P. Ritter and Harold V. Ritter Jr.
One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his family whether at home in the pool, at many sporting events, in Atlantic City, New Jersey or Ocean City, Maryland for vacations, and celebrating holidays and special occasions together.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021 at The Church of The Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover, Del. Burial will follow with Full Military Honors in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Del. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at The Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, Del.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Robert's name to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
