Robert R. Stanley

DOVER - Robert R. "Bobby" Stanley passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 in the care of Delaware Hospice and the lovely, Ms. Anna Mae Paradis, from congestive heart failure. He was the youngest son of the late Erma and Lee Stanley, Sr. of Little Creek. Bobby served in the USAF and retired from the State of Delaware, Department of Technology and Information. He was a life member of the Little Creek Vol. Fire Co., and a member of the Dover Elks Lodge 1903. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Erma Thompson; his brothers, Lee Jr. and William Stanley; niece, Charlotte Carty; and nephew, William Stanley, Jr. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Stanley of Dover; sister, Virginia "Ginny" Stanley of Little Creek; nieces (and their families), Donna Walton of Greenwood, Debby Frye, Patti Sherman, and Peggy McDowell of Dover, and Kathryn Johnson of Pennsylvania. Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at the Little Creek Fire Co. Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Little Creek Vol. Fire Co. P.O. Box 327, Little Creek, DE 19961 or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
