Robert Norman Rogers

DOVER - Robert Norman Rogers passed away on Jan. 16, 2018 in Kent General Hospital after a long struggle with cancer.
Mr. Rogers was born Aug. 29, 1945 in Springfield, Mass., son of the late Norman and Eva Rogers. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war, 1963-1966. Mr. Rogers worked Civil Service at Dover AFB for 18 years, retiring in 2006.
He loved to travel and he and his companion Jackie enjoyed more than 20 cruises. He loved watching football and cheering on any team who played against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. To know him was to love him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only sister, Patricia Caloon.
Bob is survived by his beloved companion of 29 years, Jacqueline Boles; five brothers, Dennis of Texas, Gerald of Minnesota, Gary, David and Kevin of Massachusetts, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private.
