MILLSBORO - Robert Lee Richardson, of Millsboro, formerly of Wyoming, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, in the Delaware Hospice House, Milford. He was 64. He was born on June 3, 1944, in Centreville, Md., son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Ewing) Richardson. A successful entrepreneur Robert will be remembered for his hard work and many endeavors. Robert owned Eastern Shore Mason Builders, Inc., and was a developer and owner of Trading Post Plaza and Missy's Kountry Kitchen, Oak Orchard. Over the years he was instrumental with the developing and building of Old Mill Acres I and II. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Melissa Richardson; goddaughter, Melissa Luciano of Millsboro; beloved grandson, Eric Wayne Luciano Jr.; best friend of 30 plus years, John R. Townsend; two brothers, Joseph E. Richardson of Smyrna, and James E. Richardson of Harrington; two sisters, Joanne R. Clothier of Chestertown, Md. and Norma J. Fishpaw of Ewington, Va. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the St. Georges Chapel, Beaver Dam Road, Angola. Burial will be private in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his name to Tunnell Cancer Center, 18947 John J. Williams Hwy., Unit 213, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
