Robert J. Lynn

LINCOLN - Robert J. Lynn passed away Mar. 10, 2017, at Beebe Hospital, Lewes. Mr. Lynn was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Jul. 28, 1937, 1 of 8 children of the late Andrew and Catherine (Smith) Lynn.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, crabbing and clamming. His other free time was spent working in his garden or cooking. He was a proud Air Force Veteran who retired as a letter carrier from the USPS. He also was known as "Mr. Bob" to the children who rode his school bus while he lived in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Bob is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Evelyn; special nieces, Roseann (Mike) Brenner, Andrea (Mario) D'Andrea and Terry (Phil) Young; special friends, Juanita Roberts and Peggy DeMartin; and many great-nieces and nephews, a great-great-niece & great-great-nephews.
Funeral mass Friday, Mar. 17, 2017, 10 a.m., at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford. Interment with military honors to follow at Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln.
Bob's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Beebe Hospital, especially the nurses and doctors from the 5th floor and the ICU who cared tirelessly for Mr. Lynn while in their care.
Memorials may be made to St. John The Apostle Church for the rectory fund or to the SPCA.
