LONG NECK - Robert G. Marolf of Long Neck died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, in Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, Md. He was 76.
Mr. Marolf was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Davenport, Iowa, son of the late Albert E. and Magdalen (Kabelitz) Marolf.
He was a 1947 graduate of Davenport High School, and a 1953 graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering.
Mr. Marolf was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 14 years attaining the rank of major.
He retired from E.I. DuPont Co. in 1991 after 22 years of service in marketing, public relations and sales.
He was a member of American Legion Post 28, Oak Orchard-Riverdale, and Concordia Lutheran Church, Wilmington.
Mr. Marolf will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosalinde (Sulzberger) Marolf.
He is survived by his life companion, Rose Anne White; a son, Brian D. Marolf, Imperial, Mo.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda R. Fitzmorris of La Crescenta, Calif., and Rochelle M. and Clarence Pedrick of Middletown, Del.; two grandsons; and three granddaughters.
Funeral arrangements and burial were private.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Coastal Hospice at the Lake, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
