CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Robert F. Stevens, of Chestertown, died on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, in the Chestertown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chestertown. He was 80. Mr. Stevens was born on the family farm the son of the late Fredrick Clayton and Mary Clark Stevens. Mr. Stevens spent his entire life farming with his family. Mr. Stevens enjoyed Standard Bred horse racing and for many years held season tickets to the former Baltimore Colts and enjoyed attending there games. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stevens was predeceased by one sister, Lois Margaret Martin; and two brothers, William C. Stevens and James B. "Jimmy" Stevens. Mr. Stevens is survived by one brother, John A. "Jack" Stevens of Chestertown; and one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, where friends and family may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, Md.
