Robert Daniel Zettlemoyer, 90
MILFORD - Robert Daniel Zettlemoyer of Milford, formerly of Shellsville, Pa., died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 90.
Mr. Zettlemoyer was born on Feb. 20, 1917, in Linglestown, Pa., son of the late Jacob and Bleaula Anna (Knapp) Zettlemoyer.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country during World War II in the South Pacific.
Mr. Zettlemoyer was a self-employed farmer in Shellsville until his retirement in 1984.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathryn E. Zettlemoyer; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert D. Jr. and Paulette Zettlemoyer of Tularosa, N.M. and Walter Jacob and Cecelia Zettlemoyer of Rising Sun; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Charles "Jake" Hoffman of Townsend,; a sister, Mary Ramsey of Harrisburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday in Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Shellsville, Pa., where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be in the Willow Grove Cemetery, Linglestown, Pa.
Instead of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, Kent County Chapter, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
