BOWERS BEACH - Robert Lee Collier III of Bowers Beach, passed away Sunday June 3, 2007 in Easton, Md. He was 46.

He was born on Jan. 8, 1961, in Camp Lejeune, N.C., to Robert and Ruth Hollinger Collier II.

Robert attended Lake Forest High School where he excelled in sports, making first team All-State and All-Conference in baseball and soccer.

He received an appointment to West Point but instead went into the U.S. Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps enabled him to see, up close, Beruit and Grenada in the early to mid-1980"s. He obtained an associate"s degree from Delaware Technical & Community College in computer programming and was working on his bachelor"s degree.

He loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed the freedom of being outdoors.

He was also an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by mother, Ruth Hollinger Burnette of Frederica; father and his wife, Robert L. Collier II and Patricia of Virginia; fiancée, Mona Vineyard of Frederica; three daughters, Angela Eanes of Frederica, Catherine Barnes of Colorado and Kaylee Collier of Milford; grandson, Mars Barnes of Colorado; two sisters, Terry Mullins of Dover and Sharon and her husband, Louie Roberts of Frederica; two brothers, Tommy Collier of Bowers Beach and Mike Collier of Milford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Remembrance services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at the Barretts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
