Robert B. Glasco

LINCOLN - Robert B. Glasco passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. Bob was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Harry L. "Hap" and Dorothy (Burnham) Glasco.
He served the U.S. Army for 2 years and 11 months, serving as a Paratrooper in the 511 Signal Corp assigned to Germany, then transferred into the Army National Guard for an additional 6 years. Bob worked as a splicer beginning with Diamond State Telephone, then Bell – Atlantic Telephone and finally Verizon before retiring after 52 years. He was a member of the Milford Elks Lodge #2401, where he served faithfully as treasurer for 25 years and ran the youth activities for 45 years. He was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge # 534, he assisted Boy Scout Troop # 911 of Milford serving as an advisor to the Eagle Scouts and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Bob was Milford High School's #1 sports fan, traveling near and far to see and support the high school sports teams. He was also an avid University of Delaware Football fan. In his spare time, he loved family gatherings at their beach home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Glasco; and his sister, Jane Sutcliffe.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Doris Glasco; his children, John Glasco, Sue Kenton, Tim Campbell and Joe Campbell; his brother, Lee Glasco (Charlene); his three sisters, Carolyn Tucker (Ralph), Faye Steiglelman (John), and Cindy Walsh (Doug); one sister-in-law, Judy Glasco; two grandchildren, Danielle Dixon and Evan Campbell; two great-grandchildren, Cali Dixon and Luke Dixon; several nieces and nephews and a close family friend, Gary Kaiser.
A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Milford Elks Lodge, 18951 Elks Lodge Road, Milford where an Elks Service will be observed. Burial with military honors will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to either the Milford Elks Lodge Youth Activities Fund, P.O. Box 63, Milford, Delaware 19963 or to Boy Scout Troop 911, P.O.
