Robert Alvin Bay

Robert Alvin Bay, 68 LAUREL - Robert Alvin Bay, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was 68. He was born in Williamsport, Pa., a son of the late James and Sophia Bay. He retired in 1992 as an accountant for the E.I. DuPont Company in Seaford. Cherished memories include his love of golfing, bowling and skiing. He also enjoyed gardening and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Thomas. Mr. Bay is survived by his son, Joseph Bay and wife, Selena of Seaford; his daughters, Deanna Bay of Salisbury and Natalie Covey of Seaford; a sister, Gloria Griess of Pennsylvania; a close and dear friend, Joyce Pinkine of Seaford; grandchildren, Sophia Bay, Jennifer Bay, Mary Bay, Robert Bay, Charlie Covey and Rachel Covey; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, 700 West Street, Laurel, where a visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jeanne Kirby-Colandonato will officiate. Interment will be held privately.
