Robert Alfred Greenfield

HARRINGTON - Robert Alfred Greenfield passed away, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington.
Mr. Greenfield was born Jan. 4, 1946 in Milford to the late Richard Greenfield and Gerald Katherine Turner Greenfield.
Mr. Greenfield was a Sgt in the United States Air Force for eight years during the Vietnam War. He then worked for the National Marine Fisheries in Woodsaw, Mass until moving to Delaware in 2004. Robert then worked as a construction laborer until 2006 when he retired. He was a 32nd Degree mason and past Worshipful Master of Marine Lodge in Falmouth, Mass and fraternal Lodge in Cape Cod, and a member of Shriner Alepo Temple. He also was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed going to Rudy's Diner in Harrington to socialize and eat.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Beverly Dean; 3 sons, John David Greenfield of Cape Cod, Mass., Jason Daniel Greenfield and wife Flor of Worcester, Mass., and Mark Lee Greenfield of Cape Cod, Mass.; stepchildren, James Dean Harrington, Tonya Smith, and Tamilyn Wyatt; sister in law, Shirley Biddle; 6 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-greatgrandchildren. James Dean Harrington and Rustisue Dean also helped as care givers.
Memorial services will be 7p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 East Lebanon Rd., Dover. Friends may call from 6-8p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover, DE 19904, to defray expenses.
